hi, it’s faeth

your favorite stitch witch

As a little girl, my mother taught me to sew and would bring me along to the local thrift stores to source our family’s wardrobe—not because it was fashionable, but because it was necessary. With a house full of five children, supported by just one nonprofit salary, my mom possessed the alchemical resourcefulness of making a little go a long way. She inherited this gift from her own mom –my grandmother Billie –and passed on this life skill to me. Looking back, I realize I wasn't just learning to sew and thrift; I was being welcomed into a lineage of women who saw possibility where others saw discard, and who understood that magic comes alive in the process of reclamation.

My path eventually led me to New York City and into the heart of the fashion industry, where I spent years designing apparel until the pace and waste of fast fashion no longer aligned with my spirit. I stepped away, believing I had closed this chapter of designing clothing. Instead, I would discover my way back to it through a new portal. Today, each Faerie Fashion garment begins with a story—sourcing natural fabrics in secondhand shops, finding forgotten pieces waiting to be transformed. Through slow, intentional craftsmanship, each piece becomes a continuation of the legacy my mother and grandmother bestowed: a mystical act of enchantment where beauty is not manufactured, but remembered.
